Trampolines can be a great addition to a workout routine. Many exercises can be modified so that they can be done on a trampoline. They are frequently more effective when done on a trampoline. Jogging in place is an example of an exercise that when done on a trampoline is effective and more beneficial. Running and jogging are both great cardiovascular exercises, but they are hard on the body. The force when a runner’s foot hits the ground can be as much as twice their body weight, and that force is transmitted up through knees and hips. It can cause joint pain and back problems. Jogging on a trampoline removes most of that force, and actually burns more calories. Other exercises, like squats or jumping jacks, are also great trampoline exercises. The shifting and unstable surface of the trampoline engages the core muscles and makes for a more effective overall workout.

The JumpSport Fitness 250 is of a type called a rebounder. Rebounders are the small trampolines that are good for one person and are the most common design for use while working out. It’s a little over 3 feet in diameter and weighs around 20 pounds, making it small and light enough to put somewhere out of the way when not in use. Unlike many trampolines, it uses bungee cords rather than steel springs. This makes it safer than some other models. However, while the manufacturer claims they are tested to over 2 million bounces, some users have reported a shorter lifespan. Replacing the cords can be pricey. At a price on Amazon of around $170, that can mean essentially paying for a new trampoline in a couple years.

It is possible to get a handlebar that attaches to the trampoline. This can make exercises like squats or jogging in place a little easier and a litter safer as well. It adds to the price though, costing an additional $80. Cords instead of springs means the trampoline is much quieter than models that use springs. If you use this to workout, and watch TV or listen to music while you do, this is probably a good choice.

The frame is of steel construction and is under warranty for the lifetime of the trampoline. It has six feet to ensure stability and keep the trampoline from tipping during use. Depending on what you want to use it for, this could be a great little trampoline.
